Also, I think it helps to say more about yourself on your profile. If someone asks to exchange with me I am more likely to do it if I can see that we have common interests, or if they sound like they would be an interesting person to talk to. If it is just a name, i will probably not want to talk.

Search in the language exchange section and select  the learning tab and choose your native language, if you search for bit you'll find that there will be native English speakers learning it. You could offer to help them in return for helping you in English. Make sure to let them know you are after speaking practice.
