I think some slow songs which have conversational lyrics will be a good start for biginner. I will recommend 好一朵美丽的茉莉花, 送别（长亭外古道边边），同一首歌，听妈妈讲过去的故事，让我们荡起双桨。They are all beautiful and classic songs always being performed at various shows .
