How often do you use translation apps like Google translate?
I think Google translate is quite useful and I use it only when necessary. I think the audio option is very useful especially when I travel to a place where English is not a widely used language. It is also extremely useful when the person you are talking to is still a beginner.
When a persons level improves then the lesser he/she uses google translate.

How useful is google translate for you? What do you think about the accuracy of translation apps?

In my opinion, Google is the worst.

A colleague at the hotel utilized Google to translate a guest comment  from Spanish to English, the translation was so bad and grammatically it was all wrong.  I had to translate again and ended up doing double work.

I suppose it depends on what you are translating. Google Translate seems to be sufficient for translating simple words and simple sentences (like phrases one would need while traveling), but the more complex the passage is, the more diluted it becomes during the automatic translation process.

I also agree that Google Translate has improved in recent years, but maybe that's because I speak English. There is always someone who wants to translate something from their native language into English. Even so, I know it's still not always perfect. I cannot speak for the accuracy of automatic translation between, say, Icelandic and Mongolian.

Google translator will be better than what it isdefinitely, because this tool need to community of destination language to improve translations, in Google translator there is Community part that take people's help for complete and reform words and sentences meaning.
What I have been seeing in latest years, it has gotten better than before.

I agree with you, 디나 펠리노. I think Google translate is a good way for some easy and current words or even sentences but not for everything. After we translate with this app, we should check the correct and wrong meaning. Always it's wrong.
