war has no moral colour, it is conflict, and conflict is inherent to people - it is purely human, but it is not "bad"

maybe heroes (common people) who die defending their land are greedy, ignorant, and evil too... heheh

yes, war reveals imperfect sides of any soldier, but force and aggression has different motivation...

Write about Cyber Wars - as an example you could take Stuxnet.
Or write about the consequences of a suddenly stopped war.

WOW! Thanks for all the ideas! This is a very controversial topic indeed. I understand a lot of the points made on this issue. I'd just like to state my feelings on it. I believe wars are a manifestation of humanity's most negative characteristics: greed, ignorance, arrogance, evil, the list goes on. Oddly enough though, we cannot ignore the fact that war is a truely HUMAN construct,as it demands higher intentional intelligence. I believe that as long as humanity does not learn to rise above these 'evils' we will continue to face wars, but we must always remember that humanity can also produce 'goodness': love, compasion, solidarity,art, etc. So, as John Lennon once mentioned in a timeless classic... Well, there is the old song that asks that question. Their answer is "Absolutely nothing!" It makes sense to me that the only way that participating in war is pro-life is if your country is being attacked and you defend it successfully. Otherwise we are just making it more difficult for ourselves to ever succeed as the human race.
