The violence of vowels...
I just had a dream that the Arabic, Hebriw, and Farsi linguists were deeply annoyed by the vowel signs in written form. So, they decided to abandone them.

I know it may surely sound weird to you, but maybe this dream has something to do with my confusion!:(
As I have started learning Persian(or Farsi), my novice mind, not able to deal with the waves of confusion, started weaving some weird dream as I mentioned!:D
As of now, I know that in written Farsi, the vowels signs are not used except in elementary schools. However, as a beginner, it's a bit difficult and certainly need some time and practice to get a good grip on it.

"Nther Arbc nr Hbrw nr Frsi xplctly wrt vwls whn wrtng txt. ts nly usd n lmntary schls."

Yes, It needs a bit practice to read the above line, Don't you think?:)

Any suggestion, tricks&tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!:)

Evil Eye, this one is really a tricky one. I am still struggling!D It is one of those four multi-pronounce letters(ا,و,ه,ی) which can have four sounds(v(️وقت)--time, ò(️دور)--far, o(️دو)--two, and ow(️دور)--turn).
Apart from that the missing vowel signs is really confusing for beginner because to guess the word, one needs to know the context or else they may end up pronouncing "head"(sar) as "secret"(ser) or "slide"(sor)!:D

"One pattern I have noticed is that silent vav almost invariably comes after خ and is followed by ا"
Hmm, that's interesting to know. I didn't know or notice it!:)

There are lot to know in order to get rid of these kind of confusions!:D

I struggle with the value of و. Is it a vowel or a consonant? Silent vav?

One pattern I have noticed is that silent vav almost invariably comes after خ and is followed by ا

There may be exceptions, but I haven't seen any yet.
