Useful Tagalog Sentences and Phrases (Polite Form)
Words used with Paki -
Nga (po) - increases or intensifies the request.
Mo - you (singular) as doer of the action in the second person.
Naman (po) - sometimes signifies a mild approach.
Ninyo (n'yo) - you (plural) as doer of the action in the second person.
Examples:
Pakibigay n'yo naman (po) ang sapatos kay Lara.
(Please give the shoes to Lara)
Paki-abot mo nga ang baso kay Lara.
(Please pass the glass to Lara)
Ate, pakibalot naman po ang mga gulay sa dahon ng saging.
(Ate, please wrap the vegetables in banana leaves.)
sa - (in, on, at or to)
<em>Ate is use to adress your elder sister or a lady who is older than you. </em>
Pakibasa nga pong mabuti ang instruction.
(Please read the instruction carefully.)
