Do You Dream in Your Second Language?

Earlier, I took a short nap and woke from a dream in which everything said was spoken in Farsi. In the dream I understood everything but right after I awoke the meaning of the words escaped me.  Has this ever happened to you?

Jacky/marco whoever, what's wrong with you? I don't think she's wrong by asking this question. She's a new member here. How can she know whether this was discussed before or not? And to tell you the truth, this is the first time I see this question, so be nice to others.

Pffffff....

I think we had this discussion about a thousand times before here. What is so special about dreaming in another language? That it surprises you, or even that you mention it. Typical ´American' discussion. I mean a discussion started by people who do not come from an area where they hear different languages from childhood on. I switch languages all the time, in the day time, and at night. I won't even really 'notice' it when I dream in another language.

This has happened to me before (but in Spanish!) It's always a cool experience... I've heard that if you dream in a language, you are becoming more fluent! Keep up the good work!

That's what I've been doing, too, Heli. :) I think it's better to learn to speak first and then learn to read, especially when the alphabet is completely different than your native language.
