formation - work? ; weakened - worse-off? ; crease the hierarchy - "rattle any cages" (English idiom) ; expansive - (I think you meant "expensive," but you can just say "I pay for it" or "I pay the price" [idiom]) ; fit - health ; powder in the eyes (is this a French idiom?) - underappreciated.
