Your gf is Osingnese, right? So you'll find that Osing language rather different than Javanese. I'm Javanese, but I can't speak and understand Osing's, although we are on the same islands, same province East Java. Suku Osing dari Banyuwangi, kota di Jawa Timur yang paling dekat dengan Bali lho.

Oh that's sweet :) You also speak Indonesian fluently, I believe you can speak Javanese well, just keep learning. I would be glad to help you learning Javanese :)
