"The Mask of Sorrow" in Magadan Monument from monolithic reinforced concrete (height - 15 m, the area - 56 sq.m). Inside the loner chamber is recreated. In the left top corner of "The Mask of Sorrow" - a wind bell, from a reverse side - not initial crucifixion and a sculpture of the grieving young woman (bronze). On a platform before " the Mask" - 11 concrete blocks with names of the most terrible Kolyma camps (Butygychag, Elgen, Serpantinka, etc.). On boulders along a ladder on platform plated symbols of all religions. Authors of a monument: sculptor Ernst Neizvestny, architect Camille Kazayev. Monument is made on means: The governments of Russia, a donation from the cities: Novosibirsk, Moscow, Samara, St.-Petersburg, Tambov, Magadan, Anchorage (sworn brother of Magadan); the personal contribution brought E.Neizvestny.
