The way I Deal with Peer Competition Pressure
College students are often obessed with competitive pressure from their classmates or schoolmates. Facing others' hard work, many students feel great pressure. Then how to you deal with this kind of pressure. I am trying to do those.
First, make an objective evaluation of my present level and set a practical objective. I don't need to compare with the top students, but to make enough effort. Second, under the pressure I try to not feel discouraged or depressed. Instead, I make more effort. Finally, if I can't control my feelings, I will talk to my good friend, which makes me feel better.
As a college student, I have no way to avoid competition from peers, so I try to find way to deal with it. I set a goal according to my present level, because I believe if I focus on my goal, I wouldn't have [too energy] to think about it. Do you have better ways to deal with it? Share them with me.
Blue - missing or incorrect parts of speech (wrong verb tense or singular/plural).
Gold - spelling error.
Orange - punctuation. Words like "so, and, but," etc., are conjunctions. They are used to join two clauses in a sentence so we don't begin a sentence with them.
Olive - capitalization error.
Bright Green - I'm not sure what you mean here. You might write "...I won't have to spend energy thinking (worrying) about it."
The errors are all minor. Your composition is easily understandable.
The way I Deal with the Pressure of Competition
College students are often obessed with competing with their classmates or schoolmates. When observing the hard work of other students, many students feel great pressure. How do you deal with this kind of pressure? This is what I try to do.
First, make an objective evaluation of my present level and set a pratical goal. I don't need to compare myself with the top students, but, instead, to make the effort to improve. Second, when under pressure I try not to feel discouraged or depressed. Instead, I make more effort. Finally, If I can't control my feelings, I will talk to my good friend, which makes me feel better.
As a college student, I have no way to avoid competition from peers. So I try to find ways to deal with it. I set a goal according to my present level, because I believe if I focus on my goal, I wouldn't have too waste energy thinking about it.(The previous sentence is a bit unclear) Do you have better ways to deal with this pressure? Share with me.
