Here's what I would've written.
English practice
Nowadays, everyone wants to speak English. It's surely more useful than Italian or Deutsch, but that has never mattered to me. So many beautiful languages and cultures are being reduced to only one, and I find that truly sad, which is probably why I only started to learn English recently. Either way, I'd like to try writing a few brief paragraphs in English from time to time. I have a friend who studies in US. After a while, she picked up a thick American accent and her vocabulary began to rapidly shrink, just like her worldview.
English practice
Everyone wants to speak English in this world, it's surely more useful than to speak Italian or Deutsch but that has never been an appeal to me. So many beautiful languages and cultures reduced to only one, I find that sincerely sad. I presume it's for this reason that I never learned it, but I would like to try in writing some little paragraphs from time to time. I have a friend who studies in US. With the time she got a very big American accent and her vocabulary has considerably regressed, just like her way to think.
Hi, just a brief comment - for my next lesson is starting in a few minutes. It sounds a bit odd to me saying "Everyone in this world wants to speak English". I believe it should be rather read as something like "Everyone in this world wants to be able to speak English" or like "Everyone in this world wants to learn English" etc. as "Everyone in this world wants to speak English" implies that, despite the fact that all of us are able to speak English, respectively are capable of speaking English, there are some of us which are restricted to do so - due to legislation, tradition etc.
Cheers
Jany
