马到成功（mǎ dào chénɡ ɡōnɡ） literally means: win success immediately upon arrival; be accomplished instantly [in a moment]; carry out one's mission quickly; win instant success; gain an immediate victory [success]; with success the moment one arrives: Literally it means: When the horses arrive, success is here. This is because horses are used for warfare.  In ancient times, the horse is the fastest thing around.
