Current maps show how a fishing village turned into a modern resort over the period 1974 to 2004.
In 2004 the population of the resort reached 80000 people. Furthermore, local hotels were able to offer accommodation for up to 50000 tourists.
During this period, woodland was replaced by a golf course. Moreover, adjacent to golf course, hotels for guests were built. Besides the golf course, farmland, which supplied tourist with the vegetables and fruits, replaced olive fields. The village nearest to the woodland developed and shops for guests were situated there. The harbour was destroyed and instead, along the shore, the beach area was created. The fishing village also no longer exists, and now homes of the local population are located there.
As a perfect resort must make all conveniences for tourists, the road leading to the resort was built and the road passes directly through the mountains.
In conclusion, a significant changes were implemented to create rest area for tourists. All major improvements, necessary for humans and their rest were also implemented. Very extensive work was done to achieve this goal and now, thousands of tourists could have a good time there.
[Good job. 'Performed' was technically correct in the last paragraph, but 'implemented' fits better. Remember you articles (a, an, the)]
