Meine Neur Katze Ich kuemmern einige Streunendekatzen. Ich liebe Tiere, besonders Katzen, wiel sie Kuschelig sind. Celes (meine Katze) ist zwei Monaten alt, und ist Krank. I haette kein Geld fuer ihre Gesundehit bisher. Ich bin so glucklich, dass Heute ich sie der Veterinaer nimmt. I take care of several cats. I love animals, espcially cats because they are so cute. Celes (my cat) is two months old and is sick. I haven't had any money for her medical care up until now. I am happy I was able to take her to the veterinarian today.

Meine neun Katzen

Ich kuemmere mich um einige streunende Katzen. Ich liebe Tiere, besonders Katzen, weil sie so kuschelig / süß sind. Celes (meine Katze) ist zwei Monate alt und ist krank. Ich hatte bisher kein Geld fuer ihre medizinische Fürsorge. Ich bin so gluecklich, dass ich sie heute zum Tierarzt mitnehmen konnte.

I take care of several cats. I love animals, espcially cats because they are so cute. Celes (my cat) is two months old and is sick. I haven't had any money for her medical care up until now. I am happy I was able to take her to the veterinarian today.

English has the preposition (of) in, "to take care of". In German they say, "sich UM etwas/jemanden kümmern" (to take care of something/someone). It is not a random preposition, it is part of the expression which you should learn. ------------------- The normal sentence is "ich konnte sie heute zum Tierartz mitnehmen". Now due to the use of "dass" the verb "konnte" goes to the end of the sentence so that you have now "ich" and "sie" together (konnte was in between these two).

It didn't occur to me to add um to "Ich kuemmere mich um einige streunende Katzen." Not sure when to add random prepositions. Well random to an English speaker :) Second, and this has confused me a lot actually. Why do I follow the pronoun ich immediately with sie in the sentence " dass ich sie heute zum Tierarzt mitnehmen konnte. "?
