It is clear that the elderly aged 65 and over in three countries rose significantly from 1940 and this will continue in the future. In particular, although Japanese at the age of 65 and over had the lowest percentage of the population, the figures are predicted to increase considerably in the following years and become the three countries with the largest elderly population in 2040.
