From what I've learned, "Intentar" and "tratar de" mean the same thing when said, I just more commonly heard, tratar de in certain sentences. "Probar" has a different meaning however, in English it is the same verb but in Spanish it is used in a different way. "Probar" means to try in a way of testing, tasting, or trying on, like food and clothes If it helps La prueba is a quiz, which can also be a test. Back to the other two, Tratar de is a phrase that means to intend or try, as in Traté de hacer, pero no pude. "I tried to, but I couldn't" While intentar means the same thing, you must have something that you were trying to do, Intenten entenderlo. "Try to understand it" Hope this helps as a fellow learner. Hasta luego
