ESSAY The treatment of animals in our world
This essay is about which animals are under threat, how to protect them and, more specifically, threatened wildlife in Europe.
I'm not a specialist in this matter, so I'm not trying to make a discussion about threatened wildlife. It's just an exercise. Thank you in advance for any help and sorry if something is wrong.
There is a wide range of species under protection all over the world. Each of them is documented by international organisms, defining their threat of extinction, habitats and a number of characteristics about them. They are usually exotic creatures hunted for different purposes, like lions. In many cases these activities are illegal. In other cases they are appreciated for their fur or the marble of their horns. That it is the case of the polar bears or elephants from Africa or Asia. Finally, a lot of wildlife is endangered because of the loss of their habitat due to the human activity.
In order to preserve threatened species, international laws should be made more strict, penalizing more severely the smuggling of furs or other prizes.
In Europe the main concern might come from the preservation of the different ecosystems that are of vital importance to protecting species like the Spanish lynx or certain types of whales. Their habitats are face the urban speculation and the human explotation.
Generally speaking, there is a field for regulatory laws to limit abusive practices, but it is also up to each of us to contribute in a small way to help take care of the natural home of endangered animals.
