(I am not a teacher and this is my first entry to correct so forgive me if it is confusing.)

I saw a cute children (Children's) book at a bookstore last week when I met my friend.
The place where I met my friend was kind of a complex mall so there are many different stores, like a shopping mall with combined shopping units, and so on..
We had lunch together then we went to the bookstore. strolled the mall and found the bookstore. It was a pretty huge store!
My friend and I have an interest in English books so we went forward to the “traveling abroad” section of the store. We sat down and looked at the interesting book until my friend found one book which was obviously children's book because of the huge cute pictures. It was about a story of a Elephant and his friends. There is a series for this book and if I were a child, I would get the whole series!

Sometimes, as a beginner, it is not a terrible idea to read children's books. The literature is easy and will help you expand your grammar at a easy pace while also having a better chance at understanding what is going on because there are pictures! I am still a beginner in Japanese and I have a couple of kid books to help me practice reading without fumbling around and not understanding half of what is being said without a dictionary at every sentence. Like I am still reading, " Chi's sweet home ( チーズスイートホーム) By Konata Konami". It is so cute!
