我聽見了這個谚语：“一口吃個胖子” 你聽見了嗎？我喜歡意思和我也告訴我的孩子，幫忙跟學習。你知道另外説話這個嗎？（Do you know other ways to say this?)
I tell my kids a similar idea in relation to studying. You cannot cram before a test, you can only eat (take in) so much information at one time. You need several "bite size" sessions, spread out over time to be prepared.

这个算谚语？一般来说，要说成“不要/别想/不能/别打算/一口吃个胖子”，等等，前面要用否定的词。还有”心急吃不了热豆腐“，因为豆腐很烫，会很不容易凉下来，心太急，不等它凉就吃会被烫。也可以把豆腐改成”热汤元“，道理一样。别的一时想不起来了。”罗马不是一天建起来的“，这是从外国翻译过来的，不算汉语里原有的。
