LANGUAGE LEARNING I'm studying english to improve it and I'm going to learn spanish language, in fact, last week I made an english class by skype and I revised modal verbs, specially present perfect, past perfect and pesent perfect continuous, beacause I was very confused about it. I have also bought a grammar spanish book, so I can start to study it. I'm asking me if to start from grammar is the best way to learn a language from zero or if it would be better start with conversation. As for learning english, I'm also reading an english book, in order to expand my vocabulary. With the kindle E-reader is possible to move the cursor near the interested word and to read the traduction. So, in my opinion, is a very fast and simple method to improve your own vocabulary. I have just finished the first chapter and the book called "eat, pray, love". Have you ever heard of it?

thank you very much Katerina for your advice. What means "by chance", it's as tell distraction, maybe?

Hello, Paula! Your english is quite good, keep going on!! There are some small mistakes, but I think they were made by chance. I won't correct it, the native speaker will do it better ( I'm learning english as you:) As to you question - I'd say that speaking skills are the most important part of learning any language, and the grammar comes later. Just look at the kids - they spend some years to recognize the speech of adults, then they start talking step by step, not knowing anything about grammar rules, conjugations and so on...If you have anyone from the native speakers to practise conversation - that's will be great for starting! And reading books helps not onlyincrease the vocabulary, they are also very good for grammar! Good luck in studying!)
