Online friends I'm not saying the name of any of my online friends in this text, but I want to talk about those nice people that have brought a chunk of happiness to my boring and kind of sad days. I've been learning English for around a year and throughout this journey I've met some amazing people. At first, they were just learning partners, but little by little, they have become into very good friends. I talk to them almost every day, and it's always a pleasure talking to them. Despite the fact that they live very far away from me and sometimes they're busy, they tend to spend at least a little part of their day to chatting with me, which is amazing, and it's not just a language exchange, we chat because we like to. I don't know how long it will last, I mean, they are really good friends, but we have our own lives and we live quite far from each other, besides I don't think we will be able to meet in person any time soon, that will probably happen in many years to come. However, maybe that will never happen, but if it happened, it'd be awesome, but I'm a bit afraid that it could turn out that they are not that nice in real life. Anyways thanks for reading, and correct me if I have made any mistakes, please.

Online friends

I'm not saying the name of any of my online friends in this text, but I want to talk about those nice people that  had have brought a chunk of happiness to my boring and kind of sad days.

I've been learning English for around a year and throughout this journey I've met some amazing people. At first, they were just learning partners, but little by little,    they have become into very good friends. I talk to them almost everyday, and it's always a pleasure talking to them.

Despite the fact that they live very far away from me and sometimes they're busy, they tend to spend at least a little part of their time  day to chatting with to me, which is amazing, and it's not just a language exchange, we talk/chat because we like to.

I don't know how long it will last, I mean, they are really good friends, but we have our own lives and we live quite far from each other, besides I don't think we will be able to meet in person very any time soon, that will probably happen in many years  to come.  However, maybe that will never happen, but if that   It happened, it'd be awesome, but I'm a bit afraid,   of just in case it turns out that they are not that nice in real life.

Anyways thanks for reading, and correct me if I have made any mistakes, please.

Angel, I am very impressed with your text considering you have only been learning English for a year.  Well done. Celine

I quite agree with you. I like the friends I have made here, they are company for me and though we might never meet in the same country they are real with real lives, family, and ambitions. I do not think anyone is as we imagine them and through wechat etc we have a glimpse into their lives. If you should be fortunate enough to meet someone here then take precautions, meet in a public place, take a friend and charge your phone. Do listen to your instincts and have an open mind.

I'm a bit afraid of it turns out that they are not that nice in real life. (of should be followed by a noun or ing) -> I'm a bit afraid that if it turns out (that) they are not that nice in real life. I'm also learning English, so I'm less sure if this actually has a problem
