What's The Meaning Of Your Names My English name is Linda.But a few days ago a friend from Italki told me it's a French name and it's a beautiful name. Yes,I do love my name now, but when I first saw it,I didn't like it. It was my first English lesson,our Enlish teacher carried 2 box which were full of boys' names and girls' names. She let us to pick one name without looking.I picked Linda,I thought it was too simple,normal.I prefer a special name, like Amanda,Christine,Elizabeth,Jessica etc. Specially after I found out the meaning of this name Linda，the dictionary says it means woman who like a snake！ I hate snake！！I hate this name！ When I was thinking about this, one of my classmetes was shouting out，said she wanted to chang her name，because her name-Betty，sounds like Chinese word "nasal mucus"(Bi ti)! Then our teacher said why do you think about such disgusting things? You picked that name, means you are linked by ties of fate with it! Then I kept my Linda,too. Later， I have tried to change my English name to a special one for several times . But always felt weird，then changed back couple days later. At last I aware of that "Linda" just so mach to me, simple,normal. I am just a normal person. And the letters of this name almost straight,not so many radian, like my individuality, blunt,straight,harebrained. Always make other people mad because I said the plain truth. But whatever,I born this way,hard to change,I'm Linda! Who are you? Do you know what's the meaning of your names?
