. Today,I am going to tell you a fairy tale about Shennong. He is a legendary ruler of China and a culture hero who is also known as the Emperor of the Five Grains. He taught people the practices of agriculture and pottery,so people revered him as "Shennong",whose name literally means "Divine Farmer". Shennong also made a great contribution to humanity by discovering various herbs for treating diseases.Long time ago, people did not know which plants were safe to eat, they frequently ate poisonous plants, this made people sick or even die. So Shennong decided to taste all of the plants to save them. He traveled all over the mountains and rivers, tasting various plants, seeing whether they were bitter or sweet, cold or hot.He tasted 365 herbs and recorded their effects on his body in the "Shennong Materia Medical Classic". Some herbs brought relief, while others caused discomfort. But he did not give up. finally, he found a kind of grass which could detoxify harmful things. He named this plant as“tea”, and then he usually ate the tea leaves as antidote when he was poisoned by the unknown herbs. But one day, Shen Nong tasted “heartbreak grass” whose poison was too terrible, there wasn’t enough time to eat the tea leaves to detoxify,Sadly, he died. He sacrificed himself to save humanity, thus people called him the “Bodhisattva of Medicine”, and people forever commemorate him through this story. We can learn a lot from his spirit of devotion from this story. In our life, there are many people like Shennong who sacrifice themselves to protect other people’s lives. Like doctors and nurses, they always undertake the mission of curing diseases.During the pandemic, they did not put their own safety as the first place, in their belief, patients always came first. They are angel in white,we should also learn from them. My speech ends here ,thank you for listening.

. Today,I am going to tell you a fairy tale about Shennong. He was a legendary ruler of China and a cultural hero who is also known as the Emperor of the Five Grains. He taught people the practices of agriculture and pottery, so people revered him as "Shennong", which literally means "Divine Farmer". Shennong also made a great contribution to humanity by discovering various herbs for treating diseases. A long time ago, people did not know which plants were safe to eat. They frequently ate poisonous plants This made people sick or even die. So Shennong decided to taste all of the plants to help them. He traveled all over the mountains and rivers, tasting various plants, seeing whether they were bitter or sweet, cold or hot. He tasted 365 herbs and recorded their effects on his body in the "Shennong Materia Medical Classic". Some herbs brought relief, while others caused discomfort. But he did not give up. finally, he found a kind of grass which could detoxify harmful things. He named this plant as“tea”, and he usually ate the tea leaves as antidote when he was poisoned by the unknown herbs. But one day, Shen Nong tasted “heartbreak grass” whose poison was too strong that there wasn’t enough time to eat the tea leaves to detoxify. Sadly, he died. He sacrificed himself to save humanity. So (for this reason) people called him the “Bodhisattva of Medicine”, and people forever commemorate him through this story. We can learn a lot from his spirit of devotion from this story. In our life, there are many people like Shennong who sacrifice themselves to protect other people’s lives. Like doctors and nurses, they always undertake the mission of curing diseases. During the pandemic, they did not put their own safety as the first place, In their minds (OR "They believe that) patients always came first. They are angels in white, We should also learn from them.
