Hi there.
What is the difference between shortsighted and nearsighted?
Should I say "I'm shortsighted" or "I'm nearsighted"?
Thank you. :)

For eye sight, for things you can't see far away. We call that nearsighted.
Short-sided is like you didn't plan something well enough and problems came up that if planned more thoughtfully wouldn't have.

Just so you don’t get confused, both options are fine, it’s just that BrE uses short-sighted more often, whereas nearsighted is more common in AmE, as you can see here in the photo :)

Speaking of vision, use 'nearsighted' and 'farsighted'.
'Shortsighted' describes not anticipating the future.
He wears glasses because he is nearsighted.
It is shortsighted to worry too much about this quarter's profits. Our long term success depends on gaining market share.
