That 'é' appears in English because this word is borrowed from another language. They are called 'Loanwords'.
Most of these are used to describe some dishes and objects that are not part of the daily vocabulary of the English-speaking countries.
However, some of these words are so common throughout the world that they have converted into a daily speaking habits.
Some examples of such can be 'pizza' (Italian), 'karaoke' (Japanese), 'chocolate' (Aztec), 'alcohol' (Arabic).
