Hi there, As you can see, my edits are pretty close to Mark's. "Don't get what I said the wrong way" isn't a common expression. It's almost always "don't take what I said..." In another context, "get" works to mean "understand", but not here. (examples: "I don't get what you meant." "She didn't get what I was saying." In those cases you couldn't substitute "take".) In your sentence, "take" should be understood as "receive". It's an idiomatic usage, a set phrase. The other things you wrote are very understandable, but I changed the parts that didn't read as "natural English". As you know, different languages have different ways of describing certain actions and behaviours. For example, "I don't know where to put myself" isn't common, but when it's used, it usually refers to a feeling of extreme embarrassment, which was not exactly your situation. "I don't know what to do with myself" is an extremely common expression for when you are feeling confused, unsure, uncomfortable, and overwhelmed, so I think it's more appropriate here. But your recorded speech as usual sounds very natural.

No I was actually being sincere. There is a difference between take and get. That is not a change to match my style of writing. I try to improve and correct where I can in the hope that the student possibly picks up new vocabulary./grammar and learns and grows from it. This is what I desire for all my students.
