What does rossa dalla vergogna mean?
hello dear friends! I'm now learning the italian prepositions but I'm not so sure about the funktion of the prepositions. Maybe you could explain the following sentences for me? Many thanks!
1.ho attraversato la manica su una barca a remi.
why not una barca con remi?
2.Dov'e il bicchiere d'aranciata che stavo bevendo?
why not il bicchiere di aranciata?

ROSSA DALLA VERGOGNA = when u are shy, if somebody talk with u, you became red in ur face bacause u fell shame.
BARCA A REMI (anche barca a vela, barca a motore)= barca (che va) a remi, that is the same "boat that goes with the oars" (barca che va con i remi) but I can't explain u why 'a' instead 'con i'.
DI ARANCIATA = because 'i' final letter of preposition DI is a wovel + 'a' the initial letter of the word 'aranciata' that is another wovel. So when there are 2 letters wowels (one ending and one initial) u cut the ending wovel and put the 'apostrofo', like in the article LA + ANATRA (femal name) = l'anatra.
