Majuscule = a large letter, either capital or uncial, used in writing or printing. This word is hardly used. Most people talk about using a capital letter to begin a sentence.

Actually captial letter and majiscule mean the same thing: large letter ( as opposed to small letter)
Miniscule is the word that refers to a small letter.
Examples
A is the majiscule or capital letter and
a is the miniscule or small letter version.
Moost people just say capital letter and small letter.
Hope this helps,
John
