" award sth to sb for sth " is true, but is"award sb with sth for sth " correct?

I awarded him (with) a car for coming first.
I awarded a car to him for coming first.
Both are fine.

You could also say
He was awarded the Johnson Medal for his public service.
He was awarded with a kiss for his thoughtfulness.
