What's the meaning of "Cheers"? My friend used "Cheers!" in his email to me. My boss ended his call to our clients with "Cheers." Is "Cheers!" equal to "Best regards" sometimes?

You've probably also come across "cheers" as used in a bar when everyone toasts. At the end of a letter/email/note, it's a very friendly way of saying "best regards" (of course in business, be careful of being too friendly). It's also used to mean "thankyou" in an informal way.
