how should i say ?
today i saw a really cute baby. he was six month old.
i wanted to hold him (?) pick him up (?) but i didnt know how to ask... ><
so please tell me what i should say in this situation.

You can look at the mother , smile and say " He is beautiful, would you mind if I held him?"
