how to use 到 , 起来, 上, 上不了
Hi all i have some questions... plz answer me :-)
Q1. 他在会议上发了言.
what is 上 used for in the sentence?
Q2. 人到中年容易发胖.
Does dao mean "become" or something like this?
Q3. 头一下子晕起来了.
Why can it just be "yunle" ?
Q4. How do you indicate " if or if not " in chinese? "
Q5. Does 上不了 mean "can not" ? How do i use this in a setence?

会议上(during the meeting, emphasize the place where he gave the words)
Q2. 人到中年容易发胖.
Does dao mean "become" or something like this?
到(arrive, reach, approach a state, a status, a place)
when 人 is approaching 40 years old, [it is easy](容易) [to grow fat](发胖).
Q3. 头一下子晕起来了.
Why can it just be "yunle" ?
My head 一下子(suddenly!) feels dizzy. here we want to emphasize how quick and how unexpected the sickness came.
Q4. How do you indicate " if or if not " in chinese? "
if (Ru Guo 如果)
if not (Ru Guo Bu 如果不)
Q5. Does 上不了 mean "can not" ? How do i use this in a setence?
means "can not reach certain level of state"
eg. 如果车的速度上不了100mph，就不能准时到达白宫。
If the car speed can not be reached at 100mile/per/hour, we won't make it to the Whitehouse.
