To kick some major butt = To kick some butt?
Are these expressions the same?I would like to know the meaning of it.
I think that "to kick somebody's butt" has the same meaning. The only sentence I heard was "It's time to kick some major butt!"

They are the same but the second one implies winning by a larger margin.
They are usually used competitively.
But Kicking someones butt can also mean to beat them up physically.
The score was 4-3= They kicked butt
The score was 4-0 They kicked major butt
