A clerk is also an employee. A clerk is typically an office or reception worker, while an employee can be anyone who is paid by a company.

Clerk (sounds like clark) is a job role, Data Entry Clerk. They are employed as a clerk. A Manager is also an employee but their job role is to be a Manager.
