"Hang in" and " Hold on".
"Hang in" and " Hold on" seem to me the same meaning.
How can I differentiate them?
Any examples?

hang in
To persevere: decided to hang in despite his illness.
hold on
1. To maintain one's grip; cling.
2. To continue to do something; persist.
3. To wait for something wanted or requested, especially to keep a telephone connection open.

"hang in there!" **Don't give up. Keep on going**
"hang on" **Wait. Hold on for a minute.**
--This is usually said when someone is busy for a minute but they want to add something else to what they are saying or need to say.
