Please rephrase "She carried herself straight and with assurance."
Oxford dictionary gives me a definition and an example like this:
(carry oneself) stand and move in a specified way:
She carried herself straight and with assurance.
I already look the word in other dictionaries, but can't still make sense of the sentence, esp 'carried herself'. Please rephrase "She carried herself straight and with assurance."*I've already looked up the word....

She walked alert and upright (as opposed to downcast and/or slouching). Her manner displayed confidence.
A nervous or scared person usually does not walk straight (upright) but usually seem to be curling themselves up in a ball, even as they walk.
