What is the difference between मुर्गा and मुर्गी
Please tell me What is the difference between मुर्गा (Murga) and मुर्गी (Murgi)
and Aatha tha and Aathi thi.

Murga = Cock
Murgi = hen

मुर्गा= male( cock)
मुर्गी= female( Hen)
Aata tha= came ( past participle come) - for male
Aati thi= came ( past participle of come)- for female

gagan's answer is right.
aata hai आता है - present simple 'comes'(subject is of masculine gender i.e. the one who comes, that word have masculine gender)
aati hai आती है is for femenine 'comes'
both mean 'comes', former for m and latter for f gender subject
