"musing" and "meditation" two confusing words...
I came across the prior word when reading a notebook entry. When "musing" is used as a noun, is it merely a gerund to help structure the whole sentence? Literally, musing and meditation both carry the meaning "冥想" in Chinese.

"Musing " as an adjective means.deep in thought/contemplative.
As a noun,'musing' means:.
1. Contemplation; meditation.
2. A product of contemplation; a thought.
