In this context it means: "Let's all hope this is successfully finished quickly"

This is an idiom used in English to express: we're all hoping for you.
Crossing the fingers for someone British culture, at least, I am not sure about America or other countries, is seen as a good thing to do. It shows you want them to succeed and hope the best for them!
