Insist that or insist on that? I am not sure with this sentence, I think that sounds weird or a little bit complex. By the way, what form is correct 'insist that' or 'insist on that' Authors insist that there are not unambiguous signals for any of the categories, so their definitions do not rely on morphological or syntactic signals but in functional and semantic judgments alone. Correct my mistakes, please Thanks!

The next sentence sounds, again, weird. Maybe I should finish for today... 'Even if we accept that there are not signals that allow us define categories, we can propose that, de facto, all categories are signaled in some way.' I will prefer don't use 'de facto', any suggestions?
