Well sometimes the boring ways can be the most helpful. For me, I use flashcards (on PC) to keep my vocabulary and then build it from books, etc.
If you want to learn more vocabulary in a game setting, try freerice.com - not only can it help your English (and other things) but the better you get the more food is given away.

Well, I learned my method with an
English teacher.. What I do is write the words I would like to learn
then I write a sentence using these words. You can do it if you want to learn grammar rules too.

Reading in English is useful. Watching films in English is useful. But the more useful thing is SPEAKING English with someone (preferably native speakers). Because the more you try to make a sentence on your own, the more often you look the new words up in the dictionary) Your brains are constantly in work) If you don't have anyone to speak with, then just try to write kind of short notes about your day in your personal diary. In English, of course.
Good luck :)

I would assume the same thing applies to learning English. I am learning Chinese right now and I use Anki. It is a flash card program that is highly recommended on the Internet. Essentially, it knows roughly when you'll forget a word, and it will show you that word again before you forget. This makes for long lasting memories. There are even pre-made decks you can use if you don't want to create your own. Check it out:

Borrow or buy any of the well-regarded books or recordings that show how easy it is to learn and use basic mnemonic techniques. That will help with not only vocabulary, but with every learning requirement for the rest of your life. It's NOT rocket science or brain surgery, and any person of normal intelligence or better can do it in a short period of time.
Boring? I lecture on mnemonics at community colleges and professional institutions, including the NYPD Police Academy in NYC. The evaluation forms at the end of my sessions almost all include some variation of “it was fun.”
You can sign up for my free newsletter that gives at least one or two great memory tips or tricks each issue. The sign-up form is at my website, below.
