schools kill creativity (?)
I saw a video on TED which talked about schools kill creativity.
’’If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original. If you're not prepared to be wrong, and by the time kids get to be adults, most kids have lost that capacity. They have become frightened of being wrong.’’
I think that's me, I'm so afraid to be wrong.
But everyone makes mistakes, what's the reason to be frightened of making mistakes?
I have no idea but frightened.

Are you taking a risk now?
Are you worried about how ppl might react to what you say?

Pei Hua,
Your question is very good. I guess many of us seek to find the answer to that question everyday. In my opinion, I think it is the way we are brought up. There is so much importance to do well and be right all the time that it just becomes easier not to try beyond a point. Because if we were to get it wrong, we will be endlessly criticized for doing so, but never credited for trying. It is very daunting to know that those are the examples that children are surrounded with today. But all said and done, if there is anything that can be learnt is that, let the world say what ever they please, the only obstacle standing in your way is you. As the old saying goes - 'You have nothing to fear but fear itself'
