What is the difference between travel, trip and journey? When I have to use each one? Please could you give me an example. Thanks in advance

All 3 are synonyms - they are nouns which mean to go away from home for pleasure, for example: Were taking a trip to the mountains this weekend - I'm planning to go on a jouney to see the lakes, Travel is also a verb, it's uses are as follows: To travel by bus, coach, train etc. I like travelling early in the morning before there's too much trafic

The word travel means 'travelling in general'. It is usually uncountable.Journey is countable. In British English it means one piece of travelling.We use the word trip to talk about a return journey. It also refers to the activity which is the reason for the journey.
