区别在于，，，中国人几乎对此（这两个词）没有感到有任何的区别，但beth你却感到了区别。^＿^

It's really simple. The difference between them is pretty much the same as view and point.

The same. 看法 is used in colloquial. 观点 is academic ,intellectual

Basically, they are interchangeable as 'opinion', except for 政治观点 which is a set phrase.
Differentiation:
看法 more emphasizes on the way of thinking, which is dynamic.
While 观点 is certain point of views, which is more static and inherent.
