Rattled can also be said as "shook". For example, we say "You rattled my cage" which means that you shook my cage. We use this when something really bothers us or has been an uncomfortable surprise. For example: I was driving down the road when a large truck almost hit me. It was so scary that I was rattled for the next hour. Here rattled means "unsettled", "nervous" , or "upset"
