Apologize
I came across the uses of the word apoligze and i had some doubts trying to creat sentences with it .
Would be correct to say like this=
- Can you apologize me ?
- Did you apologize her?
- Am i apologized? or should i say Am i forgived? ive never heard such sentences before but it was just something that came into my mind latly and i would like to know if it can be used like this.
PS ; is there a difference between apologize for and apologize about:?
Thank you!!!!

To apologize is to ask for forgiveness.
Here's a few examples on how to ask for forgiveness based on yours;
-I apologize to you.
-Will you forgive me?
-Did you apologize to her?
-Am I forgiven?
And there is no difference between apologizing "for" and apologizing "about". Here's an example;
I apologize to you for my overly-awesome dance moves.
I apologize to you about my overly-awesome dance moves

The main mistake here is that "apologise" (I use the UK spelling) does not have an object. You always need to use a preposition after "apologise".
- Can you apologize to me ?
- Did you apologize to her?
You normally use "to (person)" and "for (what you did wrong)" after apologise. "About" is possible, but it changes the tone of your apology.
"Forgive" does have an object: a person. "Am I forgiven?" "Please forgive me!"

"Apologize" is a type of verb that requires a preposition.
So in the sentences you listed as examples, it is correct to say:
- Can you apologize _for_ me ?
- Did you apologize _to_ her?
- For the third sentence, you should say: "Am I forgiven?"
"Apologize" is the verb you use to express regret, "forgiven" is what the other person has done when they accept your apology.
- "Apologize for" can be used to express regret for almost anything. Examples: "I apologize for being late", "I apologize for my brother's rude behavior."
- "Apologize about" is not usually used (at least not where I am from). But, it is okay to say "sorry about [thing you are expressing regret about]."
"Sorry about [] " changes the tone of your apology and is a little less formal.
Example:
Your professor says, "You're late today!"
You say, "Yes, I'm sorry about that."
Or, you can say: "Sorry about my lateness."
Hope this helps!
