美しい VS きれい
what's the difference between うつくしい、きれい. they are both translated as beautiful

In addition to "beautiful", きれい have the meanings "clean", "neat", "clear".
美しい have a artistic meaning.
美しい本 = a beautiful book
きれいな本 = a beautiful book, and a book of good condition.
But, 美しい is almost equal to きれい.
