What's the difference between 'stay' and 'be staying'?
1# If you’re staying overnight, I’ll try and find you a room.
2# If you stay overnight, I’ll try and find you a room.
Does the first sentence mean that if you want to stay overnight today, I'll try and find you a room?
Does the second sentence mean that if you stay overnight in future, I 'll try...?
Thank you.

If you’re staying overnight = if you have already decided this
If you stay overnight = this is the possibility
