having too good a time? Hi, guys, would you please comment upon using such a word order here. Having too good a time - can it be used in spoken English or it is mainly used in literature? Thanks in advance. Ron and Harry were having too good a time to think much about Flamel.

You can use it in spoken English too. "Sorry, I was having too good a time in the pool to answer your call."

As to speaking English, you could use "having a really good time", "having a good time", "really having a good time" or "enjoying too much" Example. "They are really having a good time that they forgot about Flamel." "They are enjoying the show too much that they forgot about Flamel."
